| CRuX |
| WHAT THE CRuX? |
CRuX is a boundary crossing party endeavor bridging dance communities and sounds from different scenes. Formed by Eric Sebastian and partner in crime Kevin Knapp, CRuX has been the catalyst for a new sound and musical inspiration for the both of them. As a result of the CRuX project, Eric has widened the scope his beats to include tech house, tech funk, minimal techno funk, glitchy-techy beats and electro, with funky, steppy and dirty remaining the sound theme.

| A QUESTION |
CRuX started off as a side experiment that Eric Sebastian and Kevin Knapp took on in response to a question that had been in the air for quite some time: will separate scenes, sounds, and the people who subscribe to each always be separated as they are currently (for the most part), or can there be a combination of the two sounds that could bring crowds together, resulting in an even better vibe all around?

A TEST
The duo started off testing out the question by DJing tag team style at house parties and at smaller gigs, just to see the response. After a couple of attempts at recording a demo together and playing a few gigs together, something clicked on what was no less than a New Year's Eve party, December 31st, 2005. Something must have been in the water, and eric sebastian and kevin knapp could do no wrong that night. People were seriously diggin' the mixed up sound, and the rest is history.

DROPPIN' BEATS
| Since then the duo have begun producing original material together, produced underground parties, hosted pool parties, DJed together at Qool, tag teamed at Satellite and continue to gain momentum in the SF dance music scene. |
THE FUTURE OF CRuX?
| For starters, look for some original material to come out of the CRuX camp in 2008. Remixes too. That will be the duo's focus for the near future, continuing to DJ in and around San Francisco or wherever the gigs go. Look for a couple of dope ass underground parties, too. Not a lot, just a few that kick arse! Overall, though, look for these two to continue to build connections with all the SF kidz who are hard working addicts of this sh!%# we call dance music! |
