| FUNK FUNDAMENTALS |
eric sebastian - was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Houston and Austin, TX where in the late 80s and early 90s, hip hop, funk, and reggae were his first major influences. When he landed in the Bay area in the summer of 2000, electronic music became his aural fix. He started hitting up every underground party he could find, starting off mostly in the house scene, and branching out from there.

| CRuX and it's EFFECT |
Eric Sebastian's newest project, CRuX, formed by himself and Kevin Knapp, is a scene crossing party endeavor bridging dance communities from the various electronic music scenes (with a soft spot for funky and techy) by bringing the sounds together through DJ tag teams, mash-up style DJing, and unique DJ set programming. As a result of the CRuX project, Eric Sebastian has widened the scope his beats to include tech house, tech funk, minimal tech and electro, with funky, steppy and techy sounds remaining the theme.

BOOMP BOOMP BLIP BEEP EHRNT
Stylistically, Eric Sebastian drops beats that are funky, infectious, dirty and techy. If it ain't got FUNK, it's junk! After recording several demos, he is now working on producing original material both solo and on collaborations with Kevin Knapp. Eric Sebastian has played at a number of venues in San Francisco including Mighty, Mezzanine, Anu, Shine, 111 Minna and a number of underground spots as well. Some of the more notable electronic acts that Eric Sebastian has played along side are Switch (aka Solid Groove), Diplo, Booka Shade, Adam Freeland, LTJ Bukem, Dylan Rhymes and Meat Katie.
